A Penile Implant Pioneer

Experience matters and Dr. Kramer has plenty of it. Dr. Andrew Kramer is one of the world’s highest volume penile implant surgeons. Through the years, he has cultivated a sexual medicine practice with revolutionary surgical techniques and superior patient outcomes, with what many consider to be exceptional patient service.

Dr. Kramer joined Chesapeake Urology in 2019 to continue his pioneering penile implant surgical specialty and to provide his patients with the most superior continuum of urological care. Prior to joining Chesapeake Urology, he was at University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) from 2005 to 2019, where he performed more 5,000 three-piece penile implant placements and penile implant revisions.  Dr. Kramer currently performs an impressive volume of weekly implants (at least 5 to 10 penile implants per week) and provides online access so his techniques can be observed.

Dr. Kramer’s Care Philosophy

I’m committed to delivering the best patient and surgical experience for every patient. Being available for all of my patients, answering questions, providing education, and following-up to ensure optimal recovery and results is a critical part of my practice. I believe that communication is key to an effective doctor-patient relationship.

I utilize a dedicated surgical team that includes nurses, a scrub technician, and an anesthesiologist who specializes in outpatient anesthesia, ensuring the utmost safety throughout every procedure I perform. My surgeries are performed in Chesapeake Urology’s state-of-the-art Summit Ambulatory Surgery Center in Hanover, MD, near BWI airport. This ASC is both Medicare approved and AAAHC-accredited,  providing high quality, safe, and compassionate care to our patients.  I perform all of the surgical steps myself to ensure the best possible results for every patient.
